Sörsjön is a village located between Sälen and Särna, along the river Fulan. We are close to ski resorts in both Swedn and Norway, i.e. Sälen, Trysil and Idre.

Short description of Sörsjön:

  • Inhabitants: approx. 120.

  • Several small villages are located around Sörsjön.

  • Sörsjön has one of the oldest co-operative consumer society in Sweden (completely independent with a store in the middle of the village).
    It is open on workdays to 18.00 and on Saturdays until 13.00.

  • Restauration: Kooperativet Dalen has a kiosk and a café; open times are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12.00-17.00 (with extended opening hours in the Summer and on public holidays).
    There is also a computer and Internet where you can surf cheaply.


  • Näsfjället 10 kms W from Sörsjön. Open restaurant/café under the winter season.

  • Lodging: Cottages for rent at Näsfjället.
